In this blog, we’ll walk you through the process of building your dream home with Uniplan, with insights from Storm about how we work together to make it all happen.

 

Step 1: Choose Your Home Plan

It’s time to choose the home plan that works best for you. Have a look through our range of plans and work with  Storm who will help you find the right plan for your requirements.

 

Step 2: Initial Investment

Once you have settled on a plan and received a base price from us and you wish to proceed to the next step.

You need to pay the initial investment of $5,000. This allows Storm and the team to begin planning and finalising the plan and going through the  finer details of your future home such as inclusions.

Storm will be there to ensure you’re fully informed and ready to kick off the journey.

Step 3: Finalise Inclusions and Costs

OK, so you have chosen your plan its now time to have a more in-depth conversation with Storm who will guide you through finalising the inclusions – like finishes, materials and any extra features. He’ll make sure you’re clear on all costs before moving forward, so you can make an informed decision that fits within your budget.

 

Step 4: Council Payment

To start the Council process, a council payment of $10,000 is required. This covers most of the cost of permits and approvals, Storm will make sure you understand all the details relating to the council process and help take the stress away from you, so everything goes smoothly.

Step 5: Approval Development Application (DA) and Section 68 (S68) approval

These are critical steps in ensuring that your home is built to comply with local regulations. While the approval process may take some time, Storm will keep you updated and guide you through any questions that arise from Council.

Payment 3: A 10% deposit of the final cost is required once your home has been approved through Council.

 

Step 6: Book Your Production Spot

Once approvals are in place, Storm will hand you over to our expert pre-construction team will book your home into our production schedule. Uniplan’s efficient process means we can build your home in just 21 days, so you’ll see progress quickly. The pre-construction team will make sure everything is lined up and continue the communication with you while they finalise your construction plans.

Payment 4: 40% of payment is due when the building starts in the factory

 

Step 7: Manufacturing and Construction

During the manufacturing phase, your home will be built by our expert team. We will keep you in the loop with regular updates and progress photos of your build. With Uniplan, the process is quick and efficient but always focused on quality.

You can also come and visit your home at any time whilst it is in production.

Payment 5: 40% pre delivery payment. Due the week before your delivery date.

 

Step 8: Delivery and On-Site Installation

Once your home is completed in the factory, we’ll transport it to your site and install your home, you will have all the dates and details when this will happen. Our team will take care of the installation process to make sure your home is secure.

 

Step 9: Service Connections

You will be given all the dates and details when this will happen so you can let you plumber and electrician know when they are needed to connect the services to your new home.

Once this is finished our team will come back and do all the finishing touches such as paint touch up, extra decks and stairs.

 

Step 10: Happy Homeowner

Finally, everything is completed, and your home is ready! You can move into your new Uniplan Home!

The Pre-construction and site manager will be there for any final questions or concerns, ensuring you’re completely happy with your new home.

Payment 6: The final 10% payment is due once the completed home is onsite
